On May 5, 2012, at approximately 4:15 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle rollover on Interstate 84 in Gooding County.

Ted J. Beus, 27, of Gooding, was traveling west on Interstate 84 in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup when he went off the right side of the roadway near milepost 148. Beus then over- corrected to the left and went into the median where the vehicle rolled. Beus was wearing his seatbelt and received minor injuries.

His passenger, Lauren C. Jones, 21, of Twin Falls, was asleep in the passenger seat at the time of the crash and not wearing a seatbelt. She was ejected and received nonlife threatening injuries.

Alcohol is a factor in this crash and Beus has been taken into custody. The far left lane of Interstate 84 was blocked for approximately two hours.
