On Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at approximately 1:18 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle fatality crash on Golf Course Road near Jerome Country Club in Jerome County.
Toni Martinez, 56 of Twin Falls, was traveling eastbound in a 1990 Ford van on Golf Course road when she lost control of her vehicle and swerved into oncoming traffic. Martinez collided with a 2002 Ford truck being driven by Donna Clovis, 73 of Hagerman Id, blocking westbound lanes of travel. Toni Martinez was pronounced deceased at the time of the crash, notifications have been made. Martinez was not wearing her seat belt. Donna Clovis and her passenger Mary Warner, 78 of Hagerman, were transported to Saint Lukes in Jerome with unknown injuries. Clovis and Warner were wearing seatbelts.
It is unknown if alcohol is a factor in the crash. It was snowing at the time of the crash and road conditions were snow and slush covered, it is unknown if
weather is a factor in the crash.
Investigating Trooper McConnell was assisted by Jerome County sheriff's office.

The Idaho State Police are currently investigating a fatality crash on Golf Course Road, near the Jerome Country Club. The crash occurred around 1:18 p.m. on January 18, 2012. Notifications have not been made at this time. More information will be made available at a later time. As a result of the crash, Golf Course Road is currently blocked at this location due to the investigation.
