********Update******

On Saturday, November 5, 2011 at approximately 10:00 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle injury crash on I84 at milepost 57, the Gowen Road exit.
Tonia Fries, 35, of Idaho Falls, Idaho was traveling westbound on Interstate 84 in a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer when she hit a patch of ice on the roadway. Fries' vehicle left the roadway and rolled into the median, coming to rest on top of the jersey barrier. Fries was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Fries and her two passengers were transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise with unknown injuries. Fries' passengers wore seatbelts. Fries was five months pregnant and due to the events of the crash the baby did not survive.
The crash is being investigated by Trooper Higley

Both eastbound lanes are blocked and taffic is being diverted again due to a secondary crash at milepost 55.

Idaho State Police is currently investigating a crash eastbound I84 at approximately milepost 57, just prior to the Gowen Road/Outlet mall exit. Traffic is being diverted at the Broadway Ave exit 54 at this time.

It is recommended traveler's use an alternate route of travel at this time.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
