4TH OF JULY HOLIDAY TRAVEL & FREEDOM CELEBRATION TRAFFIC FLOW

IDAHO STATE POLICE
1540 FOOTE DRIVE
IDAHO FALLS ID 83402

Due to the large volume of pedestrian traffic mingling with vehicle traffic on and around the area of John's Hole Bridge on US 20, there will again this year be no parking on the grassy areas or roadway from Science Center Dr. to Saturn Street on July 4, 2011, before, during or after the fireworks. This parking ban includes Interstate 15 as well as both entrances and exits. "No Parking" areas will be posted and vehicles that are parked in these areas will be towed at the owner's expense.

After the Freedom Celebration, troopers of the Idaho State Police along with Idaho Falls Police Department will be blocking exits from US 20 onto Lindsay Boulevard as well as the exits from US 20 onto Riverside Dr. There will also be traffic control established in the area of US 20 and Science Center Dr.

Many local law enforcement agencies including ISP have partnered with the Idaho Transportation Department's Office of Highway Safety for the upcoming Impaired Driving Mobilization patrol. During these patrols, officers will have a zero tolerance for alcohol violations and will be aggressively apprehending D.U.I. drivers. Please Don't Drink and Drive.
