The public is invited to attend the Idaho Peace Officers' Memorial annual Candlelight Vigil and Memorial Ceremony which will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 and Friday, May 20, 2011, at the memorial grounds located at the Idaho State Police Headquarters Complex at 700 South Stratford Drive in Meridian. The vigil will start at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19th. The memorial ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 20th. There will be an officer processional just prior to the memorial ceremony on May 20th. This is a unique and important event designed to honor those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their communities and our great state.
