On January 3, 2011 at approximately 1:09 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash westbound on US30 at milepost 213 in Twin Falls County.

Cory Slippey, 35, of Rupert, ID was traveling westbound on US30 in a 2002 Peterbilt commercial vehicle when he stopped at the Curry rail road crossing. Eric Palmer, 26, of Twin Falls, ID driving a commercial Semi, hauling sugar beets, was also traveling westbound on US30 when he rear ended Slippey's trailer. The crash caused the fuel tankers, being hauled by Slippey, to leak on to the road way. The roadway remains closed while the crews attend to the spill.

Slippey was taken by ground ambulance to St. Lukes in Twin Falls, with non life threatening injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts. Weather and alcohol are not thought to be factors in this crash.

This crash is still under investigation by Tpr Otto who was assisted at the scene by Tpr Walker.N, Sgt Tompson, Tpr Staley, Cpl Gibbs.D, Twin Falls County Sheriff Deputies, Paramedics, Haz Mat Team and Fire Department.
