On Thursday, October 7, 2010, the Idaho State Police investigated a commercial vehicle crash at the intersection of Blue Lakes Blvd. and Pole Line Rd. in Twin Falls. Kenneth Denning, 54, from Wendell, was driving south on Blue Lakes Blvd. in a 2000 Freightliner semi truck. Denning fell asleep and went through the intersection of Blue Lakes Blvd. and Bridgeview Blvd., crossing onto the raised center divider. The semi went over several large landscaping rocks, puncturing the driver side fuel tanks, causing diesel gasoline to spill out of the tanks. Denning then went into the northbound lanes. He continued driving south in the northbound lanes until the vehicle came to a stop at the intersection of Blue Lakes Blvd. and Pole Line Rd. Northbound Blue Lakes Blvd. was closed from Pole Line Rd. to Bridgeview Blvd. for approximately three and a half hours until the fuel spill could be cleaned up. The crash is under investigation by Trooper N. Walker.
