In the morning hours of Sunday, October 3rd, 2010 a 1998 Dodge Durango driven by Jorge Sosa-Perez, 20 years old, of Jackson, Wyoming was traveling eastbound on US 26 at about milepost 369 in Bonneville County when his vehicle traveled off the right shoulder of the road. The vehicle went over an embankment striking several large boulders before coming to rest. Sosa-Perez climbed out of the vehicle and up the nearly 70 foot embankment where he called a friend in Jackson, Wyoming for help. The friend later called 911 after his arrival the scene at approximately 0941 hours. Swan Valley Fire, Bonneville County Sheriff's Office and Idaho State Police responded to the scene. Sosa-Perez was transported by helicopter to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. The crash is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
