On Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle fatality crash. The crash occurred at the intersection of State Highway 46 and 2100 south just south of Gooding, in Gooding County. Teresa Garcia-Llamas, 26 from Gooding, was driving eastbound on 2100 south in a maroon Chevy Malibu. Laura Seamons, 33 from Gooding, was driving south on State Highway 46 in a blue Chevy truck. Garcia-Llamas ran the stop sign at the intersection striking Seamons truck on the passenger side. Both vehicles went off the road onto the east shoulder of the northbound lane. The truck rolled and landed on its top. The Malibu did not roll and remained upright. Seamons had her 13 year old son and her 5 year old daughter in the vehicle with her as well. Seamons succumbed to her injuries on scene. Garcia and the two children were transported by ground ambulance to North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding, Idaho. They were treated and released with non life-threatening injuries. Seatbelts were worn by all subjects. State Highway 46 was blocked for several hours while emergency crews were on scene. The crash is under investigation by Trooper C. Pohanka with assistance from Trooper J. Kilton, Sgt. K. Oliver and Lt. K. Haight.
