On Friday, September 3, 2010, at 5:30pm, the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle crash at the intersection of 1400 East and State Highway 33 in Terreton, Idaho. Richard Cherry, 34, from Terreton, was driving west bound on State Highway 33 in a 1985 Peterbuilt, pulling a set of double trailers loaded with hay. Mysty MacCormack, 21, from Shelley, was behind the Peterbuilt, also westbound, in a black Dodge truck pulling a camp trailer. Cherry was making a left turn onto 1400 East when MacCormack ran into the back of the second trailer. MacCormack was not wearing a seat belt, nor was an infant in the vehicle properly secured in a child safety seat. MacCormack and the infant were transported by Air Idaho to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. Cherry was not injured. State Highway 33 was blocked for approximately 2 hours. Alcohol was not a factor in this crash. The crash is being investigated by Cpl. W. Scoggins with assistance from Cpl. A. Bivins.
