On August 21, 2010 at 1:02 p.m., Idaho State Police responded to and investigated a one vehicle rollover on Interstate 84 at milepost 189 in Jerome County, Idaho. Martin Cohen, age 60 of Heber City, Utah, was traveling westbound on Interstate 84 in his Ford Ranger when for unknown reasons his vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway. Cohen's vehicle came back on the roadway, overcorrected and rolled into the median. It is believed that Cohen was drowsy and fell asleep at the wheel. Cohen was wearing his seatbelt and suffered minor injuries. He was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center.

The left eastbound lane of Interstate 84 was closed for approximately an hour and a half. Alcohol was not a factor in this crash which remains under investigation by Trooper Barrett, who was assisted at the scene by Trooper Wendler and Sgt. Oliver, as well as fire and EMS personnel from Jerome County.
