On December 28, 2009 at approximately 1:00 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle crash on SH46 at mile marker 2.2, the intersection of North Wendell Road. Raul Chagolla, 41, of Wendell, was northbound on SH46 in a Honda Accord when he stopped and attempted to make a left turn onto North Wendell. Rance Wolfe, 19, of Gooding, was also northbound. Wolfe's Ford Explorer impacted the rear of Chagolla's Honda, which was then pushed into the path of a southbound Chevrolet pickup occupied by Stacey Daniel, 41, of Twin Falls and his two passengers, Devin, 21, and Anna Daniel, 19. Wolfe drove himself to the hospital. Raul Chagolla, Stacey Daniel, and Anna Daniel were transported by ambulance to Gooding County Memorial. Devin Daniel was transported by air ambulance to St Lukes Magic Valley Regional. All who were transported have been treated and released for minor injuries. Anna, whose injuries were the most severe, was the only person not wearing a seatbelt. Neither alcohol nor weather was a factor in the crash which is still under investigation by Trooper Troy DeBie with the assistance of Trooper Bingham, and Sergeant Oliver. Gooding County Sheriff's office and the Wendell Police Department assisted at the scene.
