On Saturday, August 31, 2019, at approximately 11:25 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle rollover injury crash on the 2900 block of Sand Road just south of Parma, in Canyon County.

Aurelio Gutierrez, 40, of Caldwell, was travelling eastbound on Sand Road just south of Parma in a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 when he tried to overtake a vehicle in a no passing zone. Gutierrez failed to negotiate a corner and rolled through a fence. The vehicle then came to rest on private property in a pasture.

The front passenger, Florinda Perez Villa, 39, of Caldwell, was taken by St. Luke's air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Two juvenile occupants in the back seat were taken by ground ambulance to the same hospital.

Perez Villa was not wearing her seatbelt. The two juvenile occupants were wearing seatbelts.

Gutierrez is currently in custody of Canyon County Jail for aggravated DUI and two counts of felony injury to a child.
