On Sunday, August 25, 2019, at approximately 3:20 P.M., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle fatality crash, on State Highway 21 at milepost 13.8, east of Boise in Ada County.

Jerry Neher, 51, of Nampa, was traveling southbound on State Highway 21 in a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer. Peter Tanorikiho, 67, of Boise, was traveling northbound in a 2012 Toyota Rav. Neher crossed the center line and struck the Toyota Rav head-on. Neher's vehicle caught fire. Tanorikiho and his passenger, Lelelewa Tanorikiho, 60, of Boise, succumbed to their injuries on scene.

Neher was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Both directions of State Highway 21 were blocked for approximately three hours.

Next of kin has been notified.
