Further investigation by emergency responders on scene shows there was one explosion, not two explosions as initially reported. Investigation continues and more updates will be provided as information is obtained.

Today at approximately 9:15 a.m. at the U.S. Ecology waste facility near Grand View, Idaho, an explosion occurred in one of the facility's buildings. Initial indications are the building is used to process powdered magnesium products. A second explosion occurred in the same area at about 10:15 a.m. Initial indications are that at least three people were injured as a result of the explosions; there is no word at this time about the severity of those injuries. Emergency personnel are on scene and more are on the way.
