On October 10, 2018, at 6:54 am, Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash northbound on US93 at the junction of SH25, east of Jerome.

A 1990 Dodge pick-up, driven by a juvenile, was traveling southbound on US93. Quirino P. Escobedo, 66 of Jerome, was driving northbound on US93 in a 2013 Ford F150. The juvenile turned left onto SH25, failed to yield to oncoming traffic, and collided with Escobedo.

Escobedo was transported by ground ambulance to St. Lukes Magic Valley Regional in Twin Falls. The juvenile driver and a juvenile passenger were transported by personal vehicle to St. Lukes in Jerome. None of the occupants were wearing seatbelts.

The lanes were blocked for two hours while crews worked to remove the wreckage.
