*Update 2*

On July 7, 2018, at approximately 12:16 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a crash on US26 near milepost 304, near Blackfoot.

Corey Beeson, 38, of Williston, ND, was traveling westbound on a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle.
Rocio Perez, 46, of Blackfoot, ID, was turning onto US26 from N 500 W, in a 2002 Ford bus.

Perez attempted to make a left hand turn onto the highway and Beeson was unable to stop, striking the driver's side of the bus.

Beeson was not wearing a helmet and was transported by ground ambulance to Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot, ID, where he succumbed to his injuries. Next of kin has been notified.
Beeson's passenger, Priscilla McCarty, 35, of Blackfoot, ID, was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, ID.
Perez was wearing a seatbelt.

Lanes of travel were blocked for approximately three hours.
The crash is still under investigation by Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is investigating a crash eastbound on US26 at mile marker 304, west of Blackfoot.

US26 is blocked in both directions. Motorists should expect delays.
