On Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at approximately 3:36 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury crash, near the intersection of State Highway 46 and 2000 S in Gooding.

Jorge Cecinario Torbisco, 53, of Gooding, was northbound on SH46 in an empty cattle hauler semi and attempting to make a left hand turn onto westbound 2000 S. Danika Kirk, 28, of Jerome, was southbound on SH46 in a 2016 Ford Explorer. Cecinario Torbisco failed to yield to oncoming traffic and both vehicles collided.

Kirk was transported by ground ambulance to North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding and then transported by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Cecinario Torbisco was not transported.

Both the northbound and southbound lanes of travel were blocked for one hour while crews investigated. Idaho State Police was assisted by the Gooding County Sheriff's Office and Gooding Fire Department.

Idaho State Police is investigating a crash southbound on SH46 at mile marker 110, south of Gooding.

Both lanes on SH46 are blocked. Southbound traffic is being diverted onto East 2000 South.

More information will be relayed when it is available.
