On June 26, 2018, at approximately 4:03 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle injury crash westbound I-84 at milepost 37, just west of the Garrity Road on ramp, in Nampa.
Sydney Oppenlander, 26, of Caldwell, was driving westbound on I-84 in a 2007 Chevy Impala. Jessica Poole, 38, of Caldwell, was also westbound in a 1996 Honda Accord. Opplander made an unsafe lane change and rear ended Poole's vehicle. Poole's vehicle then rear ended a third vehicle, a 2006 BMW 530, driven by David Manning, 67, of Three Rivers, Massachusetts. Poole's vehicle then slid sideways, blocking the right lane of travel.

Poole, as well as Manning's passenger, Deborah Manning, 62, of Three Rivers, Massachusetts, were transported via ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Nampa.

All occupants in all vehicles were wearing seat belts.

The right lane remained blocked for approximately 1 hour 45 minutes while the crash was being cleared.
