On Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at approximately 11:03 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle fatality crash on southbound Interstate 15, near Malad.

Peggy L. Pratt, 67, of Pocatello, was driving a 2004 Honda Pilot northbound on Interstate 15. At approximately milepost 10 the vehicle veered off the left shoulder, overcorrected and veered off the right shoulder onto an embankment. The vehicle overcorrected again toward the left shoulder and rolled through the median before coming to rest on its side in the southbound lanes.

Pratt was ejected from the vehicle and succumbed to her injuries on scene. Two juvenile passengers were transported by ground ambulance to the Oneida County Hospital. Pratt and the juvenile passengers were not wearing seatbelts. Next of kin has been notified.

The southbound lanes of Interstate 15 were blocked for approximately 2.5 hours.
