On Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at approximately 3:50 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a commercial two-vehicle injury crash on U.S. Highway 95, one mile south of the Marsing Port of Entry.

Alex Nava, 39, of Nampa, was driving northbound on U.S. Highway 95 in a 2009 International Semi with an empty flatbed trailer.

Thomas J. M. Allt, 35, of Heyburn, was driving southbound on U.S. Highway 95, in a 2002 Freightliner.

A brake canister came off of Nava's trailer and went through the windshield of Allt's Semi. The 2002 Freightliner went off the right shoulder and rolled at approximately milepost 17.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Allt was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
