On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at approximately 4:52pm, the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash, westbound Interstate 84 on the 165 onramp from Jerome.

Richard Meza, 20, of Wendell, ID, was entering the 165 onramp to westbound interstate 84 in a Blue 2003 Nissan 350 Coupe the vehicle went off the roadway, struck a light pole and overturned. Meza and his passenger, Lakin Tsetsakis, 19, of Gooding, ID, were transported to St. Lukes Magic Valley Regional Medical Center by ground ambulance.

The right lane of travel and the onramp were blocked for approximately 1 hour. Both Meza and Tsetsakis were wearing their seatbelts.

Idaho State Police is currently on scene of an injury crash westbound I84 at milepost 165, near Jerome. The right lane and the westbound on ramp are currently blocked.
