On Friday, May 25th, 2018, at approximately 2:47 p.m., Idaho State Police Investigated a single vehicle rollover property damage crash on westbound Interstate 86 at milepost 56.5, near Chubbuck.

Michael Biorn, 46, of Chubbuck, was driving westbound on Interstate 86 in a GMC pickup towing a camper trailer towing an ATV trailer. The camper trailer swayed and tipped over. The pickup rolled and came to rest on its roof.

The lanes were blocked for approximately two hours. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.

At approximately 3:02 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a secondary three-vehicle property damage crash on Interstate 86 at milepost 56, near Chubbuck.

Katherine Black, 48, of Mountain Home, was driving westbound on Interstate 86 in a Ford pickup towing a trailer with a Nissan passenger car on it. Maria Correa, 34, of Salt Lake City, UT, was driving westbound on Interstate 86 in a Chevrolet Cruze. David Iniguez, 21, of Blackfoot, was driving westbound on Interstate 86 in a Chevrolet Camaro. Traffic was slowing due to the crash at milepost 56.5. Black failed to slow and struck Correa. Correa then struck Iniguez. The Chevrolet Cruze came to rest in the median.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts. The lanes were blocked for approximately one and forty-five minutes.

Both crashes are under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
