On Friday, April 6th, 2018 at approximately 10:24 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash westbound State Highway 44 at Lansing Lane, just east of Middleton.

A juvenile was driving northbound on Lansing Lane in a 2000 Nissan Sentra. The driver failed to yield at a stop sign. A second juvenile was driving westbound on State Highway 44 in a 2009 Dodge Ram and struck the Nissan Sentra. Both vehicles came to rest on the north shoulder of State Highway 44.

The driver of the Sentra was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Both lanes of travel were blocked by emergency vehicles for approximately 2 hours. All lanes of travel are now open.

The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
