Shortly before 5:00 a.m. this morning, Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash westbound on I84 at milepost 77, about halfway between Boise and Mountain Home. Amy Beer, 33, of Mountain Home was traveling westbound on I84 in a Toyota Camry when she went off the left side of the road, overcorrected, and traveled back to the right. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on the right shoulder of the road. Beer was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise. Her passenger, Samuel McCormic, 46, of Filer, was ejected from the vehicle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. Neither subject was wearing seat belts. Notification has been made to next of kin.
