Three vehicle crash on SH52 at milepost 7.5, near Payette

On Thursday, February 8, 2018 at approximately 9:28 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle, injury crash on SH52 at milepost 7.5, four miles east of Payette. Kristin Robinette, 35, of Payette was westbound on SH52 at milepost 7.5 in a 2009 Nissan Sentra. Christopher Parks, 33, of Payette, was eastbound on SH52 at milepost 7.5 in a 1995 Ford Ranger. Shedrick Ofilas, 23, of Payette, was behind the Nissan in a 2011 Toyota Camry.

The Nissan was making a left turn into a rest area and contacted the Ford. The Ford then went onto the right shoulder, overcorrected, and went into the westbound lanes, contacting the Toyota Camry. The Nissan came to rest in the eastbound lanes, the Ford came to rest in the middle of the road, and the Toyota came to rest in the westbound lanes.

Kristin Robinette and Shedrick Ofilas, along with three passengers in Ofilas' vehicle, Ernesto Corpuz, 31, of San Jose, CA; Melanie Corpuz, 31, of Dixon, CA; and Gloria De Vera, 57, San Jose, CA, were transported to St. Luke's Clinic in Fruitland by ground ambulance. Christopher Parks and a passenger in Ofilas' vehicle, Romulo De Vera, 62, of San Jose, CA, were transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by air ambulance. Kristin Robinette, and her passenger Levi Robinette, 29, of Payette, were wearing their seatbelts. Parks was not wearing his seatbelt. It is unknown if the occupants of the Toyota were wearing their seatbelts. The lanes were blocked for approximately two hours and forty five minutes.

The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
