On February 24, 2018, at approximately 8:00 pm, Idaho State Police investigated a crash eastbound I84 at milepost 69, about ten miles east of Boise.

Roberto Flores, 46, of Kennewick, WA, was driving a 2012 Freightliner Cascadia semi pulling a 2013 utility trailer, and was travelling eastbound on I84 at milepost 69. Flores went off the left shoulder, crashed into the median and the semi jackknifed.

Flores was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Luke's in Boise. The left lane was blocked for approximately 5 hours while crews investigated and the vehicle was towed.
