On February 12, 2018, at approximately 8:30 am, Idaho State Police investigated multiple crashes on US26 at the intersection of State Highway 43(Beachs Corner).

Mandy J. Schofield, 40, of Idaho Falls, was driving a blue 2010 Nissan Altima westbound on US26. Schofield drove off the roadway, went through a sign and struck a streetlight, which then fell into the westbound lanes. When the streetlight fell it struck a white 2017 Ford F350 pick up truck, which was being driven westbound by Troy D. Weaver, 44, of Idaho Falls. The streetlight then came to rest in the middle of the westbound lanes.

Ashtyn E. Goree, 18, of Idaho Falls, was driving westbound on US26 in a black 1998 Subaru Legacy. Goree drove over the streetlight and then collided with a grey 2013 Ford F450 pick up truck, which was being driven eastbound on US26 by Quinton E. Bair, 42, of Rigby.

Schofield was not wearing a seatbelt, all other drivers were wearing a seatbelt.

All lanes of travel were blocked for approximately 1 hour.

Idaho State Police is investigating a crash on westbound US26 near milepost 338. Both eastbound and westbound lanes are blocked. More information will be released as it becomes available.
