On January 17th, 2018 at 5:47 pm the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash eastbound on US12 milepost 12 near Lewiston, ID. Osias L Edmiston, 21 years old of Pendleton, OR, was travelling east on US12 in a 2015 Chevy Impala when he pulled to the right shoulder and began to make a U-turn. Edmiston was then struck by Karee L Picard, 53 of Lapwai, who was also travelling east in a black 2013 Toyota Corolla. The Toyota became completely engulfed in flames. Picard and two occupants, Francis D Picard, 54 of Lapwai, and a juvenile were transported to St Joseph Medical Center. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
