On January 21st 2018, the Idaho State Police investigated a fatal crash NB US95 at milepost 356, north of Moscow. Eric Gearhart, 48 years old, of Palouse Washington was travelling northbound on US95 on his 2009 Suzuki GSX1300 motorcycle when he lost control negotiating a curve, leaving the roadway. Gearhart was transported to Grittman Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Gearhart was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Speed may have been a factor. Next of kin has been notified.
