On November 28, 2017 at 5:27 PM an injury crash occurred on US12 at milepost 18.7, near Myrtle, Idaho. A red and tan 1988 Ford Ranger pickup driven by Matthew M. Diverty, 28, of Orofino was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed. As Mr. Diverty negotiated the corners at Myrtle, he lost control of his pickup, left the roadway, drove into the ditch below the westbound lane, rolled, and came to rest on Hazel Street. Mr Diverty was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the pickup. He was transported by Lifeflight to St Joseph Medical. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor. US12 was temporarily blocked for Lifeflight. The investigation continues.
