On Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 3:29 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle property damage crash westbound Interstate 84 at milepost 122, near Glens Ferry.

Tyler Boyd, 23, from Aurora, Illinois, was travelling westbound on Interstate 84 in a 2007 Peterbilt pulling a cattle trailer full of cattle. Wesley Weidner, 74, out of Boise, was travelling westbound on Interstate 84 in a 2011 Toyota Rav4 pulling a pop up camper. Boyd swerved into the left lane to avoid hitting Weidner. Boyd then clipped the back of the Weidner and crashed into the guard rail. Weidner also lost control where the trailer became disconnected with the Rav4. There was a large explosion of propane tanks during the crash. No injuries were reported.

All parties were wearing their seatbealts. The right westbound lane of travel was blocked for approximately 2.5 hours. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
