On Sunday, September 17, 2017, at approximately 5:16 P.M., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle property damage cash on southbound US95 at milepost 160, near New Meadows.

Joel Merrill, 44, of Twin Falls, was driving southbound in a 2006 Freightliner pulling one trailer. Karl Henry, 21, of New Meadows, was driving northbound in a 1990 Ford F150 pick-up. Henry crossed the center line and struck the side of the Freightliner. All occupants were wearing a seat belt.

The southbound lane of travel was blocked for approximately two hours.
