On Monday, July 24, 2017, at 4:32 pm, Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash eastbound on SH24 at mile marker 65.5, near Shoshone, ID.

Gerald A. Stowell, 64, of Shoshone, ID, was driving westbound on SH24 in a 2008 Ford F150. Tracy L. Priester, 44, of Twin Falls, ID, was driving eastbound on SH24 in a 1995 Kenworth semi truck pulling a trailer. Stowell made a u-turn and was struck by the semi.

Stowell, his passenger Gerald M. Stowell, 38, of Shoshone, ID, and Priester were all transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, ID. Priester was wearing his seatbelt.

Traffic was blocked for approximately two hours. The lanes are re-opened.
