The Idaho State Police investigated a crash that occurred on Thursday, July 27th, 2017 between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM. A silver 2001 Jeep Cherokee (towed by Bernards) being driven by Shanda Lozon; 18; from Lapwaii was driving the vehicle when she lost control and the vehicle rolled. Neither Lozon or her passenger; Wayne Penney, 18, of Lenore, were wearing a seatbelt, and both were ejected from the vehicle. Both subjects were transported to St Joseph in Lewiston. The road was blocked for three and a half hours. Assisting agencies were the Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office and the Tribal Police Department. The investigation is continuing.
