On Monday, July 31, 2017, at 6:53 pm, Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash westbound on I84 at mile marker 29, near Caldwell, ID.

A juvenile was driving westbound in a 1995 Saturn SC. The juvenile drove off the left shoulder and rolled into the median.

The juvenile was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID.

The lanes westbound were blocked for approximately 30 minutes.

On Monday, July 31, 2017, at approximately 7:26 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle fatality crash on US20 near milepost 119, in Elmore County.

Jennifer R. Baker Lemley, 31, of Hailey, ID was driving eastbound on US20 in a 2014 Jeep Compass. Baker Lemley drove off the right shoulder and the vehicle rolled. Baker Lemley succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.

Baker Lemley was not wearing a seatbelt.

The eastbound lane of travel was blocked for approximately three hours.

On Monday, July 31, 2017, at approximately 5:19 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle rollover crash eastbound Interstate 84 at milepost 57, at Gowen Road.

Bonnie Burns, age 67, of Homedale, ID, was traveling eastbound in a 2003 Ford F250 pickup pulling a trailer, when the trailer began to swerve. Burns lost control, rolled her vehicle, and came to rest on the median side of Interstate 84. Burns and her juvenile passenger were transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID.

Burns and her passenger were wearing seatbelts. The left lane of travel is still partially blocked at this time as debris is removed from the crash scene. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Sunday, July 30, 2017, at approximately 3:52 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a three vehicle injury crash on southbound Interstate 15 at milepost 112, near Idaho Falls.

Garrett K. Pedersen, 19, of Bakersfield, California, in a 2017 Subaru sedan, was stopped for the merge of the construction zone at milepost 112.

Joshua J. Beagle, 26, of Sidney, Montana, driving a 2014 Ram 2500 pickup, was stopped behind Pedersen.

Hannah J. Ellsworth, 19, of Long Beach, Washington, driving a 2005 Toyota Corolla, failed to stop and rear-ended the Ram pickup. Ellsworth, and her passenger's Hailee H Pritchett, 21, of Shelton, Washington and Jeffrey C. Byous, 65, of Garden City, Idaho were all transported by ground ambulance to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Seatbelts were worn by all occupants in all vehicles. The right lane was blocked for approximately one and a half hours. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Saturday, July 29, 2017, at approximately 3:47 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle fatality crash on I84 near milepost 16, in Payette County.

Edward T. Lujan, 67, of Worland, WY was driving eastbound on I84 in a 2001 Ford pickup. Lujan's vehicle experienced a tire failure and Lujan lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled through the median, across the westbound lanes, and through a cement barrier where it rolled coming to rest on its top. Lujan succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.

Lujan's passenger Margaret Rose, 56, of Mount Shasta, CA was transported by ground ambulance to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell. Lujan and Rose were wearing seatbelts.

The right westbound lane of travel was blocked for approximately three hours.

A number of law enforcement agencies responded beginning at about 11:30 p.m. last night, July 28, after an individual responded with gunfire as Owyhee County Sheriff's Office deputies performed a welfare check at the individual's home.

The male subject fled in his vehicle, leading deputies on a pursuit into the Owyhee Mountains area. By 1:07 a.m. today, Owyhee County deputies requested assistance from other law enforcement agencies and that request was answered by:
- Nampa PD
- Caldwell PD
- Canyon County Sheriff's Office
- Idaho State Police

The individual stopped driving at approximately 1:07 a.m. today when his vehicle became disabled / wrecked on Hard Trigger Road in Owyhee County. A standoff ensued, and he continued firing intermittently on law enforcement officers before he was shot and killed by law enforcement officers at approximately 6:40 a.m. today.

This in preliminary information, and the investigation is ongoing. More information will be released as it becomes available. However, the CITF does not anticipate having the ability to conduct any on-camera interviews on this matter before Monday.

On Thursday, July 27, 2017, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, fatality crash at the intersection of Rodeo Lane and Red Top Road, just north of Wilder.

David Chavez Jr., 20, of Homedale, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Colorado southbound on Rodeo Lane. Scott Hoskins, 40, of Parma, was driving eastbound on Red Top Road, in a 2014 Toyota Tundra. Chavez Jr. failed to make a full stop at the intersection, and then collided with Hoskins' vehicle.

Chavez Jr., along with two passengers, and Hoskins were transported by ground ambulance to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell. A third passenger, Jorge Sanchez, 18, of Homedale, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Notification to next of kin has been made. No occupants in either vehicles were wearing their seatbelt.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On July 27, 2017, at approximately 08:16 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 46 at milepost 93, near Bob Barton Road, west of Wendell.

Roy Myers, 51, of Martinsville, Illinois, was traveling northbound on State Highway 46 near milepost 93 in a 2012 Ford sedan. It is unknown at this time whether Myers was attempting to enter or exit the driveway of a residence. Myers' vehicle was rear ended by a 2014 GMC pickup, driven by Kenneth Koch, 32, of Twin Falls. Myers' vehicle went off the roadway and overturned on the driver's side. Koch's vehicle came to rest on the shoulder of the roadway.

Myers was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise via Life Flight. Myers' passenger, Danielle Myers, 29, of Medicine Lake, Montana, was transported via ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls. Koch was not wearing a seat belt.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

The Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash on July 26th, 2017 at 11:02 PM, on Potlatch Road, two miles east of Calder. Fernando A Camayo, 35, of Peru, was driving a John Deer Gator UTV; later towed by Benewah Motors; when he backed it over an embankment. The vehicle and the driver went over the embankment and overturned. Camayo was pronounced deceased at the scene and was transported by Hodges Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seatbelt or a helmet. On July 27, 2017 at 11:35 am the Idaho State Police, assisted by Latah County and Moscow Ambulance, investigated a two vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Tyrell L. Tompkins, 24 years old of Spokane Valley, WA was traveling north on US95 at milepost 356 in a white 2004 Dodge Ram Pickup attempting to make a left hand turn onto Potter Road. Robert D. Keegan Jr, 59 years old of Viola, ID was traveling southbound on his red 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle, came around the corner and swerved to avoid the collision, but was struck by Tompkins. Keegan was wearing his helmet and was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital. The roadway was not blocked. The motorcycle was towed by Brandt Brother Towing.

A silver 2001 Jeep Cherokee (towed by Bernards) being driven by Shanda Lozon; 18; from Lapwaii was driving the vehicle when she lost control and the vehicle rolled. Neither Lozon or her passenger; Wayne Penney, 18, of Lenore, were wearing a seatbelt, and both were ejected from the vehicle. Both subjects were transported to St Joseph in Lewiston. The road was blocked for three and a half hours. Assisting agencies were the Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office and the Tribal Police Department. The investigation is continuing.

On Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at approximately 11:39 a.m, Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle crash northbound I15 at milepost 118, near Idaho Falls. Scott Vahsholtz, 31, of Weston was driving a 1997 Freightliner semi. Vahsholtz slowed for heavy traffic and when applying the brakes, the trailer jack-knifed. The truck hit the guardrail on the median side and caught on fire. Vahsholtz was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The lane had been blocked for approximately 4.5 hours. Idaho Falls Police Department and Idaho Falls Fire Department assisted with the crash.

On Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at approximately 2:40 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle fatality crash in the intersection of Park Street and Mission Street in McCall.

Craig T. Boswell, 56, of McCall, was driving a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, westbound on Park Street when he failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection for N Mission Street. The vehicle continued through the intersection and collided with a building.

Boswell was not wearing a seatbelt, and was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke?s Medical Center in McCall where he later passed away.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at approximately 3:28 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury crash southbound on US93 at milepost 57, in Jerome County.

Brenda Naylor, 53, of Twin Falls, was southbound on US93 in a 2017 Subaru Outback. David Meyers, 82, of Sun Valley, was northbound on US93 in a 2010 GMC Acadia. Frances Meyers, 83, of Sun Valley, was a passenger in his vehicle. The Subaru and the GMC collided. The GMC went off the right shoulder. The Subaru came to rest in the lane of travel.

All occupants were wearing their seatbelts. David Meyers was transported to Portneuf Regional Medical Center in Pocatello by air ambulance. Both Frances Meyers and Naylor were transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley in Twin Falls by ground ambulance. The lanes were blocked for approximately two hours and fifteen minutes while crews worked to clear the scene.

Idaho State Police were assisted at the scene by the Jerome County Sheriff's Office. The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.

On Monday, July 24, 2017, at 6:23 pm, Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash, eastbound on I84 at mile marker 196.5, east of the Hazelton Exit.

Terence K. Perry, 34, of Normangee, TX, was driving westbound on the eastbound side of I84 in the one-lane construction zone, in a 2000 Peterbilt semi truck pulling a trailer. Thomas J. Drexel, 67, of Tucson, AZ, was also driving westbound in a 2003 Toyota pick-up pulling a camp trailer. Perry struck the rear of the camp trailer, drove through the median, and came to rest on the actual westbound lanes of I84. Michael R. Sobotka, 59, of Jerome, ID, was driving eastbound in a 2005 Kenworth semi truck pulling a trailer. In an attempt to avoid the crash, Sobotka struck the pick-up, lost control, and overturned the Kenworth.

Sobotka, along with two of Drexel's passengers, Shawn J. Volker, 37, of Tucson, AZ and a juvenile, were all transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, ID. Perry and Drexel were not transported.

Both lanes of travel were blocked for approximately five hours. The lanes are re-opened.

On Monday, July 24, 2017, at 4:32 pm, Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash eastbound on SH24 at mile marker 65.5, near Shoshone, ID.

Gerald A. Stowell, 64, of Shoshone, ID, was driving westbound on SH24 in a 2008 Ford F150. Tracy L. Priester, 44, of Twin Falls, ID, was driving eastbound on SH24 in a 1995 Kenworth semi truck pulling a trailer. Stowell made a u-turn and was struck by the semi.

Stowell, his passenger Gerald M. Stowell, 38, of Shoshone, ID, and Priester were all transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, ID. Priester was wearing his seatbelt.

Traffic was blocked for approximately two hours. The lanes are re-opened.

The Idaho State Police investigated a crash that occurred on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 1:21 PM on US95 at milepost 490, north of Sandpoint, ID. Jesse J Uanino, 35, from Hicksville, NY driving a black 2003 Chevy Blazer (passenger: Celesta F Collacci 27) was traveling northbound on US95 at milepost 490. Uanino was slowing for a left turning vehicle when he was rearended by Edgar C Farnham, 77, from Troy, Mt driving a red 2012 Volkswagen Beetle. Uanino was forced left of center and struck Chad T. Blake, 36, from Yakima, WA, (passenger: Jodee L Blake 41) in a 2005 Nissan Maxima. Uanino was not wearing his seatbelt and was life-flighted to Kootenai Health. His passenger, Collacci, was transported to Bonner General Hospital by ambulance. Farnham was transported by ambulance to Kootenai Health. Blake and his passenger, Jodee Blake were transported to Bonner General Hospital by ambulance. US95 was completely blocked for approximately 4.5 hours. Assisting agencies were Bonner County Sheriff's Office, Idaho Transportation Department, Northside Fire Department, South Boundary Fire Department, and Bonner EMS.

On July 23, 2017, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash on SH75 near milepost 157.5, at Galena Summit, in Blaine County.

Kimberly R. Hayes, 26, of Boise, was driving northbound on SH75 on a 2009 Honda Shadow motorcycle. Michael A. Jones, 57, of Nampa and his passenger Dana A. Simmons, 54, of Meridian were driving northbound on SH75 on a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Jason Clark, 46, and his passenger Julie S. K. Clark, 45 both of Meridian were driving northbound on SH75 on a 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Jevon L. Benson, 41, and his passenger Chantelle L. Benson, 35, both of Twin Falls, were driving southbound on SH75 in a 2001 Ford F250 pickup pulling a 1988 Fleetwood Taurus travel trailer.

Hayes failed to negotiate a curve and traveled left of center side swiping Benson's trailer, Jones then struck Hayes and the motorcycles went down. As Clark was attempting to avoid Hayes and Jones he lost control and his motorcycle also went down. Hayes died at the scene. Next of kin have been notified.

Simmons, Jason and Julie Clark were transported via air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise. Jones was transported via ground ambulance to St. Luke?s Wood River Medical Center in Ketchum and was later transported via air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise.

Hayes, Jones, Jason and Julie Clark were wearing helmets, Simmons was not. Jevon and Chantelle Benson were wearing seatbelts.

The north and southbound lanes were completely blocked for approximately two hours and partially blocked with alternating lanes for three hours.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Blaine County Sheriff's Office, Custer County Sheriff's Office, Idaho Department of Transportation, and Ketchum Fire Department.

On Friday, July 21, 2017, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a double fatality crash on US20 north of Chester.

Jose Alfredo Angulo Demara, 35, of San Francisco, California was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, eastbound on US20. Demara crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2000 Chevrolet pickup in the westbound lane. Demara was pronounced deceased on scene. His passenger, Elena Howell, 24, of Sacramento, California and a juvenile child were taken by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the pickup, Janis S. Draper Clark, 72, of Rexburg, was also pronounced deceased on scene. Her passenger, Stanley Clark, 88, of Rexburg, was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

All occupants of both vehicles were wearing seatbelts. Both directions of US20 was blocked for approximately 3 hours.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Friday, July 21, 2017, Idaho State Police investigated three property damage crashes on Interstate 84 between mileposts 194 and 201, in Jerome County.

The first crash occurred at 5:22 p.m. eastbound I84 at milepost 198. Sagemarie Sprenger, 27, of Burley, was eastbound on I84 in a 2017 Volvo semi pulling two trailers. Lavonne Russell, 49, of El Cajon, California, was following behind Sprenger in a 2015 International semi pulling a trailer. Sprenger stopped for slowing traffic in front of her. Russell was following too closely, and struck the rear of Sprenger's trailer. Both Sprenger and Russell were wearing seatbelts. Russell had a juvenile passenger in the vehicle. The juvenile was wearing a seatbelt. The eastbound lanes were blocked for approximately 45 minutes.

The second crash occurred at 5:40 p.m. eastbound I84 at milepost 195.5. The following drivers were all westbound: Iosif Todirash, 27, of Springfield, Missouri in a 2007 Volvo semi pulling a trailer; Glenn Combs, 24, of Filer, in a 2015 Ford F350; John Goodrich, 57, of Mountain Home, in a 2014 Ford Fusion; and Alexander Harrison, 25, of Vancouver, Washington, in a 2014 Kia Cadenza. The Volvo struck the rear of the Ford F350, which struck the rear of the Ford Fusion. The Volvo went off the right shoulder where it hit a guardrail and then came back into the lane, where it struck the Kia. Combs, Goodrich, and Harrison were all wearing their seatbelts. The westbound lanes were blocked for approximately 2 hours.

The third crash occurred at 6:06 p.m. eastbound I84 at milepost 194. Alice Prudent, 54, of Kimberly was eastbound in a 2012 Honda CRV. Phillip Rangel, 49, of Logan, Iowa, was following the Honda in 2006 International semi. Both were stopped in traffic, but Rangel let off the clutch and struck the rear of the Honda. Both Prudent and Rangel were wearing seatbelts. There was no blockage.

The crashes are under investigation by Idaho State Police. They were assisted at the scenes by the Jerome County Sheriff's Office, the Minidoka County Sheriff's Office, and West End Fire Department.

On Thursday, July 20, 2017 at approximately 10:43 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle crash on River Road at Silver Creek Road, off SH46 near Buhl.

Teodoro Garza, 34, of Twin Falls, was eastbound on River Road in a 1993 Honda Accord. Tony Tellez, 37, of Buhl, and Heraclio Garza Nevarez, 22, of Buhl, were passengers in the vehicle. Garza failed to negotiate a curve and went off the right shoulder, where the Honda hit a fence and then a tree. It came to rest in the eastbound lane of travel.

Garza and Tellez were wearing their seatbelts; Garza Nevarez was not. Garza Nevarez was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by air ambulance. The road was blocked for approximately 5 hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police. They were assisted at the scene by Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office and the Buhl Police Department.

On Wednesday, July 19, 2017, Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle fatal crash at the intersection of Sand Hollow Rd. and SE 8th Ave., in Payette County, north of Caldwell. The crash occurred between 4:00 am - 4:30 am this morning.


John Cushman, 22, of New Plymouth, was driving northbound on Sandhollow Rd., in a 1996 Ford F250. Cushman's vehicle ran off the road onto the right shoulder onto gravel and lost control. After losing control, the vehicle came back onto the pavement, and rolled several times. Cushman was partially ejected and was found trapped in the vehicle when emergency responders arrived on scene. Cushman succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. Cushman was not wearing his seatbelt.
The next of kin have been notified.

Brian Christensen, 45, of Pocatello, was driving southbound on US91 on a 1985 Honda motorcycle. While attempting to pass a vehicle, Christensen lost control of his motorcycle and went off the right shoulder, where he was ejected.

Christensen was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to Franklin County Medical Center in Preston, then taken by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. There was no blockage.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Sunday, July 16, 2017, at approximately 2:40 p.m. The Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle injury crash on State Highway 28, North West of Mud Lake in Jefferson County. Travis Gneiting, 44, of Spokane Washington, was driving southbound in a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer. At milepost 27, the vehicle lost the tread from one of its tires. The Blazer left the roadway off the right shoulder and overturned. All of the occupants, except Travis Gneiting, were ejected in the crash.

Gneiting's passenger, Kathy Gneiting, 38, of Paris, Idaho was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Travis and three juvenile passengers were transported to the same location via ground ambulance.
None of the occupants were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The roadway was completely blocked for approximately one and a half hours.

On Sunday, July 16, 2017 at approximately 12:21 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury crash, northbound Highway 93 near milepost 1, just north of Jackpot, NV.

Siobhan Owen, 21, of Burley, was driving northbound in a 2007 Dodge Charger when she collided with a 2004 Toyota Tacoma pulling a pop-up camp trailer, driven by Peter Wilson, 74, of Las Vegas, NV. Wilson lost control of the vehicle and both the pickup and camp trailer rolled, coming to rest on its top. Owen's vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and went off the right shoulder, coming to a stop approximately 50 feet from the road.

Sharon Wilson, 69, of Las Vegas, NV, was a passenger in the Toyota Tacoma. Owen and Sharon Wilson were both transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls. All occupants of the Toyota Tacoma were wearing seatbelts. Owen was not wearing a seatbelt.

Both northbound and southbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately two hours.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Elko County Sheriff's Office, Twin Falls Police Department, and Jackpot EMS.

On July 15, 2017 at approximately 4:55 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle crash on northbound US93 near milepost 60, in Jerome County.
A juvenile was driving northbound on US93 through a dust storm in a 1987 Ford F250 pulling a travel trailer. Susana Serrato Ferreira, 36, of Ketchum, Idaho was driving southbound on US93 in a 1999 GMC Jimmy. Randy F. Owen, 65, of Sacramento, California was also driving southbound on US93 in a 2014 Kia Optima. The driver of the Ford side swiped the GMC Jimmy. The Ford continued across the southbound lane of travel and went off the west shoulder of the road. As the Ford was going off the road, the Kia collided with the trailer of the Ford. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.

The northbound lane was blocked for approximately one hour thirty-five minutes.

Kim of Moscow, ID was in a silver Subaru Legacy traveling north in the northbound lanes of US95 when he struck Alana A. Beck of Asotin, WA, and passenger Damon Beck who were in a white Nissan Xterra also traveling northbound. Immediately following the impact, the white Nissan Xterra drove off into the embankment and rolled over. One lane was blocked until the scene was clear at 8:40 PM. A 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Samantha Wolf (age 31 of Sandpoint/seatbelt yes)was travelling southbound in the northbound lanes when it collided with a 2017 Freightliner semi truck headed northbound and driven by Samarpal Khaira (age 23 of Alberta/seatbelt yes). Khaira had a passenger, Purewal Sukhpreet (age 31 of Alberta / seatbelt no), who was in the sleeper cab. Wolf was pronounced deceased on scene and both occupants of the semi were transported to Kootenai Health. Investigation continues.

On Friday, July 14, 2017, at 5:57 pm, Idaho State Police investigated a crash northbound on US95 at Killebrew Drive, north of Fruitland, ID.

Evan M. Lawrence, 27, of Boise, ID, was driving northbound on US95 in a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado. Daniel C. Hershey, 26, of Weiser, ID, was driving westbound on Killebrew Drive in a 1998 Dodge Caravan. Hershey turned southbound onto US95 and stuck Lawrence' vehicle.

Lawrence was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Ontario, OR. Hershey and a passenger in his vehicle, Joseph W. Schlamp, 24, of Ontario, OR, were both transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID.

The lanes were blocked for approximately four hours.

On July 13, 2017, at approximately 9:31 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury crash on Eastside Drive in McCall.

Kyle Petersen, 27, of Nampa, was driving southbound on Eastside Drive in a 1991 Ford Bronco. About half a mile from the Tamarack Bay Condos, Petersen failed to negotiate a curve, drove over the embankment, and rolled several times.

Petersen, his passenger, Donna Contreras, 32, of Nampa, and four juvenile passengers were transported via ground ambulance to St. Luke's in McCall. Contreras was later taken by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Boise. The four juveniles and Contreras were wearing seat belts. At this time, it is unknown whether Petersen was wearing a seat belt.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 11:26 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a rollover crash on Interstate 84 near milepost 175, 2 miles east of the Twin Falls exit.

Ronald Honeycutt, age 69, of Candler, North Carolina, was driving eastbound on I-84 in a 2001 Holiday class A motorhome towing a Jeep Patriot. The motorhome suffered a blown steer tire on the passenger side and went off the road into the median where it overturned.

Honeycutt and his passenger, Terry Honeycutt, age 66, also of Candler, NC, were transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls. They were both wearing seat belts.

ISP was assisted by an off-duty Minidoka County Sheriff deputy as well as deputies from the Jerome County Sheriff's Office. Both westbound lanes of Interstate 84 were blocked temporarily near the scene while an air ambulance landed. The eastbound lanes remained open for the duration of the crash investigation, but traffic was slow through the area.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m. this morning, July 13, 2017, the Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle fatality crash northbound on I15 at milepost 60, about one mile north of Inkom. Keith Snow, age 34, of Ogden, Utah, was driving northbound on I15 in a Ford Expedition when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle rolled, coming to rest in the median. Snow was ejected and died at the scene. He was not wearing his seatbelt. The crash is under investigation.

On July 12, 2017, at approximately 4:45 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury crash on US91 at milepost 20, near Preston.

Brian Christensen, 45, of Pocatello, was driving southbound on US91 on a 1985 Honda motorcycle. While attempting to pass a vehicle, Christensen lost control of his motorcycle and went off the right shoulder, where he was ejected.

Christensen was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to Franklin County Medical Center in Preston, then taken by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. There was no blockage.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Monday, July 10, 2017, at approximately 4:09 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle fatality crash on US95 near milepost 111, north of Midvale, in Washington County.

Steven D. Joslin, 39, of Fruitvale was driving northbound on US95 in a 1985 Ford Thunderbird. Richard T. Pierce, 63, of Caldwell was driving southbound on US95 in a 2006 Freightliner semi pulling a single trailer. Joslin's vehicle crossed the center line into the southbound lane striking Pierce's vehicle head-on. Joslin succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. Joslin's next of kin have been notified.

Pierce was transported by ground ambulance to Weiser Memorial Hospital in Weiser.

All lanes of travel were blocked for approximately five and a half hours.

On July 10, 2017, at approximately 2:10 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a property damage crash northbound on Interstate 15 between mileposts 75 and 88, near Fort Hall. Gregory Hamman, 35, of Blackfoot, was driving a 2008 Kenworth semi transporting an excavator northbound on Interstate 15. The excavator hit bridges near mileposts 75, 86, and 88. Each impact put debris onto the roadway which damaged other vehicles traveling in the area.

The right northbound lane of Interstate 15 was blocked for approximately 20 minutes while the debris was cleaned up. The right lane continues to be closed between mileposts 86-88 while the Idaho Transportation Department conducts maintenance on the affected bridges.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Sunday July 9,2017, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle injury crash eastbound I84 at milepost 166, near Jerome.

Serafin Martinez, 27, of Jerome was driving a 1995 Ford Explorer westbound on I84. Martinez's vehicle blew a right rear tire. His vehicle went into the median, slid and rolled across the eastbound lanes before coming to a rest along the shoulder.

Martinez and his passenger, Javier Tovar, 21, of Jerome were wearing a seatbelt. Martinez was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. Tovar was transported by ground ambulance to St. Lukes Magic Valley Regional Center in Twin Falls, Idaho.

The eastbound lanes were blocked for approximately one hour. Idaho State Police was assisted by Jerome Police Department and Jerome County Sheriff.
