On June 5th, at 11:22 AM, near the north entrance to the Clearwater River Casino (US95 mile post 307.9), a four vehicle crash occurred. Karen Wing (64 year old female of Clarkston, WA) was facing south on US95 and was about to turn left onto Nez Perce Drive when Dennis Hayes (68 year old male of Lenore, ID) impacted Wing to the rear of the vehicle. Both drivers decided to move their vehicles off the highway. Wing proceeded onto Nez Perce drive. Heather Morton (24 year old female of Orofino, ID), traveling northbound on US95, was impacted by Hayes on the driver's side. Morton then impacted Jacob Whiteplume (47 year old male of Lapwai, ID), who was waiting to turn right onto northbound US95. Morton and two of the passengers were transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center where they were treated and released for minor injuries. Wing and Whiteplume were uninjured. Hayes was uninjured and was cited and released for reckless driving. Investigation continues.
