On Sunday, June 18, 2017, at approximately 7:37 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash southbound Interstate 15 at milepost 59, near the Inkom Port of Entry.

Marvin Baker, 82, of Fredonia, Arizona, was traveling south on I-15 in a 2015 Toyota Tacoma pulling a trailer. Baker drove the vehicle onto the left shoulder then overcorrected to the right, causing the pickup to roll. The pickup came to rest its right side, blocking both southbound lanes of I-15. The trailer did not roll.

Baker and his two passengers were transported to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello by ground ambulance. The two passengers were Hal Moore, 45, and Gary Moore, 18, both of Langford, South Dakota. Baker and Hal Moore were wearing seatbelts; Gary Moore was not.

The southbound lanes of Interstate 15 were blocked for a little over one hour while crews worked to clear the scene. Traffic was diverted through the Inkom Port of Entry.
