On Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at 3:11pm, the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash on US95 at mile marker 137, near Council, ID.

Evert Miller, 79, of Council, ID, was driving northbound on US95 in a 2017 Chrysler 200. Miller attempted to turn into the chain up area. Edith Schwartz, 82, of Council, ID, driving northbound on US95 in a 2007 Subaru Legacy, struck Miller's vehicle from behind. Miller's vehicle was pushed into the southbound lanes, colliding with a 2014 Ford Escape traveling southbound on US95, driven by Corinna Boatright, 51, of Meridian, ID,. Boatright's vehicle slid sideways, rolled over, and came to a rest on its wheels.

Evert Miller was transported by ground ambulance to Weiser Memorial Hospital in Weiser, ID. Lorraine Miller, 77, of Council, ID, a passenger in Miller's vehicle, was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, in Boise, ID. Schwartz and Boatright were not transported.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts. The lanes of travel were blocked for approximately two and a half hours.

The Idaho State Police is currently investigating a three-vehicle crash northbound US-95 at milepost 137, near Council, ID. The northbound lane of travel is currently blocked. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when driving through the area.
