On February 19, 2017, at approximately 10:29 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle property damage crash eastbound on U.S. Highway 30 at milepost 376.5, near Fish Creek Summit in Caribou County. Brent Elison, age 64, of Blackfoot, was driving eastbound on U.S. Highway 30 in a 2017 Freightliner commercial vehicle pulling a single trailer when he lost control of the commercial vehicle at the bottom of the hill.
