Update: Crash Blocks US93 South of Twin Falls

On Thursday, January 19, 2017 at approximately 2:41 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle, injury crash at 4007 US93, one and a half miles south of the US93/US30 junction in Twin Falls County.

Carl Pulsifer, 80, of Filer, was northbound on US93 in a 2003 Ford F-350 pickup. Melora Kellis, 33, of Twin Falls, was behind Pulsifer in a 2008 Dodge Caravan. Pulsifer was stopped to turn into a driveway when the Dodge struck the Ford from behind. Chelcie Eager, 78, of Sterling, AK, was southbound on US93, passing the Ford and Dodge in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado when the crash occurred and his vehicle was struck as well.

The Dodge came to rest in the northbound lane of travel. The Ford came to rest to rest off the right shoulder of the northbound lane. The Chevrolet continued driving and turned around to return to the scene.

Kellis was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by air ambulance. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Pulsifer and his passenger, Joyce Pulsifer, 74, of Filer, were both transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley by ground ambulance. It is unknown at this time if they were wearing seatbelts. Eager was not transported. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Both lanes were blocked for approximately one hour, and the southbound lane was blocked for another hour and fifteen minutes.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is currently investigating a three-vehicle crash on US93 at milepost 40, south of Twin Falls. The northbound and southbound lanes of travel are blocked at this time. Motorists are advised to use caution when driving through the area. More information will be released as it becomes available.
