On December 29th, 2017 at approximately 10:32 p.m. a fatal crash occurred on Interstate 90 at milepost 12.9, in Coeur d?Alene, Idaho. A green 1995 Acura Integra driven by Jonah Z. Leeder, 20, of Coeur d Alene, Idaho and juvenile passenger was traveling eastbound when Leeder attempted to pass another vehicle and spun out of control causing his vehicle to stall perpendicular to oncoming traffic in the right lane. A gold 2000 Chevy Silverado driven by William E. Swan, 45, of Coeur d Alene, Idaho was also traveling eastbound when he T-boned Leeder. The juvenile passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene and Leeder was transported to Kootenai Health. All three were wearing their seatbelts. Next of kin has been notified and the investigation is ongoing.

Witnesses report seeing a 1990s two-toned light and dark blue Chevrolet pickup stop at the crash. The occupants of the Honda Civic fled from the scene shortly after the pickup left.

Officers are requesting the driver of the pickup contact dispatch at (208) 846-7550 with any information regarding the suspects from the Honda Civic.

On Wednesday, December 27, approximately 11:00 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle rollover on Interstate 84 at milepost 68, east of Boise. Amber Banks, 33 of Boise, was travelling eastbound in a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser in the left lane of travel. Banks' vehicle went off the left shoulder and rolled into the median. Banks was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Banks was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Boise.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On December 26, 2017, at 2:22 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle crash eastbound Interstate 84 at milepost 15, east of Payette.

Sergio Flores, 27, of Nampa, was driving eastbound in a 2008 Dodge Avenger when he left the roadway on the left shoulder and rolled his vehicle. Flores was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Flores was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

The eastbound left lane of travel is no longer blocked. The lane was blocked for approximately two and a half hours while crews worked to clear the scene. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On December 17, 2017 at approximately 12:16 pm the Idaho State Police investigated a car versus train crash at US30 and Curry Crossing, near Filer, ID.

Russell Weaver, 82, of Hollister and his passenger Ardith Weaver, 79, of Hollister were driving eastbound on US30 in the right lane in a 1998 Oldsmobile 88. The vehicle was approaching Curry Crossing, where the crossing lights and audible signal were activated. An Eastern Idaho Railroad train, operated by Brennan Lyons, 28, of Jerome was traveling northwest on the train tracks at Curry Crossing. The train was comprised of a locomotive pulling approximately 10 cargo cars. Weaver failed to yield to the signals and the front of the Oldsmobile struck the left side of the locomotive. The train was brought safely to a stop.

Both occupants of the Oldsmobile were wearing seatbelts.

All lanes of the US30 were blocked for approximately an hour and fifteen minutes.

On December 19th, 2017, at 4:47 AM, Idaho State Police responded to a fatal crash northbound State Highway 3 near mile post 47, between Bovill and Clarkia. Cody Wood (31 year old male of Lewiston, ID) was driving a loaded 2006 Kenworth logging truck when he failed to negotiate a right curve. The truck left the roadway, and spilled the load, which impacted the truck cab. Another motorist, Darren Jackson (33 year old male of St Maries, ID), driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, impacted spilled logs on the roadway. Wood was declared deceased at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt. Next of kin has been notified. Jackson was not injured. He was wearing a seatbelt.

ISP News release: Shots fired at Idaho State Police during attempted traffic stop in Minidoka County

Today at approximately 12:25 a.m., Idaho State Police attempted to stop a Ford Mustang for numerous traffic violations near the intersection of 300 South and 300 West, Minidoka County. As the trooper attempted to initiate the traffic stop, the Ford Mustang fled north towards Rupert. During the pursuit, gun shots were fired from the suspect vehicle. Neither the trooper nor his police vehicle were struck by the shots. The trooper was able to maneuver the Mustang to a stop at approximately 12:33 a.m. Cody L. Hinerman, 25, was taken into custody without incident. Two other adult male passengers were briefly taken into custody, interviewed and released.

The shooting is being investigated by the Cassia County Sheriff's Office. The crash portion of the incident is being investigated by the Rupert Police Department. Please refer all media inquiries to the Jerome Idaho State Police office.

On December 21, 2017, at approximately 12:51 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle fatality crash westbound Interstate 84 at milepost 42 in Meridian. Gabriel Hon, 21, of Nampa, was traveling westbound in a 2002 BMW M3. William Lager, 68, of Estacada, OR, was traveling westbound in a 2000 Freightliner towing a single trailer. Hon struck the back of Lager's trailer then struck the barrier on the median side.

Hons was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries on location. Lager was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured. Notifications have been made. The two left lanes were blocked for approximately two and a half hours.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at approximately 9:53 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a three vehicle, non-injury crash at the intersection of W 65th S and US91, in Idaho Falls.

Brett Jensen, 50, of Idaho Falls, was traveling eastbound on W 65th S in a 2000 Kenworth commercial vehicle. Jensen's vehicle slid on icy roads into the intersection and came to rest in the southbound lanes of US91. Nora Butler, 24, of Firth, was traveling southbound on US91, in a 2007 Pontiac Grand Am when she collided with Jensen's vehicle. Both Jensen's and Butler's vehicles were struck by a 2016 Chevy Silverado traveling southbound on US91, driven by Mike Adams, 62, of Ririe.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts and none of the parties were transported. The southbound lanes of US91 are currently blocked while crews work to clear the scene. This crash is under investigation.

Single Semi-Rollover Crash at the junction of US20 and US95

On December 18, 2017, at approximately 4:50pm, Idaho State Police was called to a single semi-truck rollover crash at the junction of US20 and US95 just outside of Parma.
Jeff Roeser was driving a semi-truck pulling double trailers of hay. The shipment of hay shifted and the tractor and first trailer tipped. The crash was non-injury, however the roadway was blocked for approximately three hours. The roadway reopened at 8:15pm.
This crash is currently under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On December 18, 2017, at approximately 3:59 p.m. the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash on Interstate 52 near milepost 15.5, east of New Plymouth.

John Fisher, 63, of New Plymouth, was driving eastbound on State Highway 52 in a school bus. Margurite Lyons, 58, of Ontario, OR, was driving westbound on State Highway 52 in a 2016 Dodge Ram van. The bus and van collided. The bus came to rest in a creek on the north side of State Highway 52 and the van came to rest on the north shoulder.

Lyons was taken by ground ambulance to St Luke's Medical Plaza in Fruitland. Fisher was taken by personal vehicle to St Luke's Medical Plaza in Fruitland. No juveniles were injured in the crash.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Thursday, December 14, 2017 at about 2:42 p.m., Brittany Lonje Jones, 31, of Vallejo, California was stopped by the Idaho State Police on Interstate 15 near Idaho Falls for a traffic violation. Jones showed signs of drug impairment and was administered field sobriety tests. During the traffic stop, an Idaho State Police drug-K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics. Approximately 1.2 pounds of Methamphetamine valued between $8,000 to $10,000 was located inside the vehicle. Jones was subsequently arrested for Trafficking Methamphetamine and for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. She was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

On Monday, December 18, 2017, at 7:51 am, Idaho State Police investigated a crash northbound on I15 at mile marker 68, south of Clark Street.

Taras Andrusyshyn, 27, of Chicago, IL, was driving semi-truck and trailer hauling two transformers. Andrusyshyn was stopped in right lane of travel as one of the transformers had come off the trailer, and both transformers were leaking a large amount of non-hazardous oil, causing blockage in the right lane.

The Idaho Transportation Department, along with a wrecker company, responded to the scene for clean-up.

The right lane northbound on I15 and the South 5th on ramp were blocked for approximately three and a half hours. The lanes have been re-opened.

On December 17, 2017, at approximately 7:05 p.m. the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash westbound Interstate 84 near milepost one, in Payette County.

Ryon Sharette, 35, of Salt Lake City, UT was driving westbound on Interstate 84 in a 2016 Freightliner pulling double trailers. Matias Rogel, 33, of Ontario, OR was also driving westbound in a 2002 GMC Yukon pulling a flatbed trailer. Sharette struck the rear of Rogel's trailer. The Yukon rolled and came to rest on the roadway. The Freightliner went into the median where the rear trailer tipped onto its side, reentered the roadway and came to rest in the right lane of travel.

Rogel was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario, OR.

The westbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately six hours. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On December 17, 2017, at approximately 6:03 p.m. the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash at the intersection of US 30 and State Highway 50, near Kimberly, ID.

Ray Hamby, 87, of Kimberly and his passenger Dorothy Hamby, 85, of Kimberly were driving southbound on State Highway 50 in a silver 2001 Ford Crown Victoria. Ray failed to yield for oncoming traffic while attempting to turn onto US 30 eastbound and struck a white 2000 Toyota Tacoma driving northbound on State Highway 50 driven by Thomas Wiser, 70, of Eden. The Ford came to rest in the intersection of US 30 and State Highway 50 while the Toyota came to rest on the south side of the intersection.

Wiser was taken by ground ambulance to Saint Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls. Neither occupant of the Ford were wearing seatbelts. Wiser was wearing a seatbelt.

Westbound US30 and northbound State Highway 50 were blocked for approximately one hour.

The Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash on US95 at milepost 508, north of Bonner Ferry, Idaho. A brown 2006 Ford Explorer, driven by Jennifer R. Jones,39, of Ponderay, Idaho, was southbound on US95 at milepost 509 when she drove left of center and struck a white 2008 Dodge Caravan, driven by Dale L. Olsen, 82, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, head on. Mr. Olsen and his passenger, Dorothy N. Olsen, 78, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, were wearing their seatbelts during the crash and were transported to Boundary Community Hospital. Ms. Jones was not wearing her seatbelt during the crash and was transported initially to Boundary Community Hospital and then transported by ground ambulance to Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene. Investigation is still ongoing.

- A single vehicle crash eastbound I-84 at mile marker 13.5:
o Nicholas D. Clem, 32, of Nampa, ID, was driving a 2002 Ford F250 pulling a car dolly. He was not transported.

- A single vehicle crash eastbound I-84 at mile marker 13:
o Frederick J. Nungaray, 60, of Ontario, OR, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. Frederick and his passenger Sylvia Nungaray, 62, also from Ontario, OR, was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

- A multi-vehicle crash westbound on I-84 at mile marker 6:
o A New Plymouth Quick Response Unit was involved and the driver was transported to St. Luke?s in Fruitland.

o Helena E. M. Gilbert, 45, of Caldwell, ID, was driving a 2018 Kia Soul. She was not transported.

- A single-vehicle crash eastbound I84 at mile marker 6:
o Benjamin A. Smith, 20, of Payette, ID, was driving a 1992 Toyota van. He was transported to St. Luke?s in Fruitland, ID.

On December 14th at 1:18 pm, the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle fatality crash on US95 at milepost 272, near Craigmont, Idaho. Richard C. Huntley, 91, of Craigmont, Idaho, was driving a silver 2001 Ford Ranger pickup, northbound on US95, when he attempted to turn left onto Westlake Road. Mr. Huntley failed to yield to a white 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup, driven by Edward B. Rice, 33, of Clarkston, Washington and was struck by Mr. Rice. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Mr. Rice was not injured and Mr. Huntley was transported to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston where he later succumbed to his injuries. Next of kin has been notified. The investigation is ongoing.

Thomas Stowell, 27, of Hagerman, was driving westbound in a Dodge Ram pickup pulling a horse trailer full of firewood. Jason Roberts, 64, of Twin Falls, was driving a semi-truck pulling two trailers of sugar beets eastbound US30. Stowell crossed left of center and collided head on with Roberts. It is unknown if Stowell was wearing a seat belt; he succumbed to his injuries at scene.

Roberts was not wearing his seatbelt, was ejected and transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Hospital in Twin Falls.

Both lanes of travel were blocked for seven hours. This crash is still under investigation.

On Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at approximately 6:59 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, fatality crash northbound US-93 at milepost 65, eight miles south of Shoshone.

Larry Halbert, 39, of Caldwell, was southbound on US-93 at milepost 65 in a 2006 Ford F150 pickup. Cheryl Miller, 71, of Dietrich, was northbound on US-93 at milepost 65 in a 2014 Nissan Maxima. The Ford crossed over the center line and struck the Nissan head-on. The Ford came to rest in the lane of travel. The Nissan came to rest off the northbound shoulder.

Both Halbert and Miller were wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol was involved in this crash. Halbert was transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley by ground ambulance. Miller succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. Next of kin has been notified.

The road was blocked for approximately four hours and fifteen minutes while crews worked to clear the scene.

On December 12, 2017 at approximately 8:44 p.m. a fatal crash occurred on Interstate 90 at milepost 63.5, near Wallace, ID. Iouri Karlov, 59 year old male of Brooklyn, NY was traveling westbound on I90 when he lost control of his semi-tractor and trailer while going too fast for the conditions. The semi rolled onto its passenger side, left the roadway and traveled through approximately 20 feet of guardrail. The roadway was blocked for approximately 5 hours. Mr. Karlov was pronounced deceased at the scene; he was wearing his seatbelt. Next of kin has been notified.

On December 9, 2017 at approximately 8:14 p.m. a fatal crash occurred on Interstate 90 at milepost 34.5. A tan 1992 Honda Accord driven by Gregory Vandouris, 52, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho was traveling westbound on I90, in the passing lane, when he swerved to the right and slid off the right roadside. The vehicle struck the guard rail end taking out approximately 30 feet of guard rail. The vehicle then slid over the embankment striking the post of a roadway sign, continuing down the embankment, overturning, and coming to rest after striking a tree with the roof. Mr. Vandouris was pronounced deceased at the scene; he was wearing a seatbelt. The two occupants in the vehicle were Rachel Cabral, 32, of St Maries and Jesse Stephens, 36, of Coeur d'Alene. Both were transported to Kootenai Medical Center.

On Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 5:29 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle fatality crash on SH-33 at milepost 61, near Sage Junction. A maroon van driven by Malana Moemberg, age 21, of Fort Hall, was westbound on SH-33. The Clark County Sheriff was driving eastbound on SH-33 in a marked patrol unit. Moemberg's vehicle crossed over the center line and struck the Sheriff's vehicle. The Sheriff was transported by ground ambulance to Madison Memorial in Rexburg. Moemberg succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. The Idaho State Police were assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the Clark County Sheriff's Office, and the Idaho Transportation Department. The roadway was blocked for approximately 7 hours. Notification has been made to next of kin.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Saturday, December 9, 2017, at approximately 11:50 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle, fatality crash on Old US-91, just south of Arkansas Rd., near Arimo.

Dianne Christiansen, 73, of Downey, was driving northbound in a 2008 Ford pickup. Christiansen drove off the right shoulder where she overcorrected. The pickup then crossed both lanes, went off the left shoulder and struck the embankment.

Christiansen was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On December 8, 2017 at 9:19 p.m. PST the Idaho State police received a call from the Bonner County Sheriff's Office to investigate a crash in the 9000 Block of Dufort Road, near Priest River, ID. Andrew P. Blum, 29 year old male, of Spokane, WA was driving a maroon 2002 Mazda Tribute westbound on Dufort Road when he lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve. The vehicle left the roadway, traveled through the ditch, overturned and came to rest on its top. Blum and his passenger, Jerod M. Paulus, 32 year old male of Nine Mile Falls, WA were not wearing their seatbelts and transported to Bonner General Hospital. Blum succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. On December 7, 2017, at approximately 5:50 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash at the intersection of Middleton Rd. and Marble Front Rd. in Caldwell.

Anna M. Gonzales, 65, of Eagle was driving northbound in the southbound lanes on Middleton Rd in a 2009 Honda CRV. Eloy U. Osornio, 49, of Caldwell was driving southbound on Middleton Rd in a 2005 Nissan Sentra. Linda L. Knox, 51, of Middleton was driving southbound behind Osornio in a 2000 Honda Accord. Gonzales struck Osornio and then Knox.

Gonzales succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. Osornio was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Knox was transported by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Gonzales and Osornio were wearing seatbelts. Knox was not wearing a seatbelt.

Next of kin have been notified.

Pauline Holtman, age 85, of Boise, was traveling southbound on State Highway 21 when she left the roadway, went up an embankment, crossed Sandy Point Place, and struck the jersey barrier. The vehicle then crossed State Highway 21 again and struck the jersey barrier on the northbound side. Holtman was wearing her seatbelt. On December 5, 2017, at approximately 7:51 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a four-vehicle crash eastbound Interstate 84 at milepost 41, west of Ten Mile.

Wayne Reece, 60, of Nampa, was traveling eastbound in a commercial vehicle pulling two tank trailers loaded with milk. Reece did not slow with traffic and struck a commercial vehicle pulling three trailers, driven by Rodney Day, 55, of Meridian. Day's vehicle then struck a 2003 Kia Sorrento, driven by Jeffrey Kirkman, 49, of Nampa. The contents from Reece's damaged trailer then spilled onto a 2013 Chevrolet pickup, driven by Thomas Kirkland, 34, of Boise.

The right lane of travel was blocked for approximately five and a half hours while crews worked to clear the scene. All drivers were wearing their seatbelts. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - December 5, 2017 - Before competition begins at the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle next July, an elite group of individuals will serve as the "Guardians of the Flame" and escort the Special Olympics Flame of Hope on a journey across Washington state. Idaho State Police Detective Michelle Brostmeyer of Coeur d'Alene is among those who will make up the prestigious "Final Leg" team for the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) at the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games.

Since the first Special Olympics USA Games in 2006, members of law enforcement and Special Olympics athletes from across the United States have carried the Flame of Hope in the LETR Final Leg to usher the start of the national competition.

From June 27 through July 1, the LETR Final Leg team will conduct multiple runs and ceremonies in cities, towns and communities across Washington State to raise awareness for Special Olympics and generate excitement for the 2018 USA Games. The 2018 LETR Final Leg culminates on July 1 when the team escorts the Flame of Hope into the Opening Ceremony at Husky Stadium at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Detective Michelle Brostmeyer has been with ISP since August of 2012. She started off as a Trooper and was promoted to Detectives in District One (CdA) in January 2017. She is also part of the ISP Honor Guard Team. This will be Detective Brostmeyer's first year working with the Special Olympics. "I am excited and honored to be representing the Idaho State Police as a Logistics Leader for the final leg in 2018!", she said.

On December 3, 2017, at approximately 5:12pm, Idaho State Police investigated a fatal crash on Simco Road just south of I84.

Olga Ferguson, 51, was traveling northbound on Simco Road in a grey Acura MDX when she drove off the road crashing into a semi-trailer that was parked in a dirt lot off the roadway, coming to a rest in the adjacent field. Attempted arrest for drug trafficking leads to a shot being fired at ISP Troopers

Today at approximately 3:00 a.m. in at the Wal Mart parking lot in Twin Falls at 252 Cheney Dr. W., Idaho State Police attempted to arrest two individuals suspected of drug trafficking. The suspects are identified as Bonafacio Carlos Taffola, 24 and Arcenio Sosa Solorio, 26. Both are Mexican nationals who authorities believe have most recently resided in the Twin Falls area.

During the attempted arrest, one of the suspects pulled a pistol and took a shot at one of the ISP personnel on the scene.
It appears there was just one shot fired and nobody was hit or injured. One of the suspects attempted to elude ISP troopers on foot but he was quickly taken into custody without further incident. Both suspects have been booked into the Twin Falls County Jail.

Thirty eight pounds of marijuana were taken as evidence from the suspects' vehicle. Also seized was approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. The approximate value of the drugs is $75,000.

This Aggravated Assault (firearms discharge) incident is now under investigation by the Twin Falls Police Department. Please refer any questions to the Twin Falls County Prosecutor.

The Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash on US95 at milepost 508, north of Bonner Ferry, Idaho. A brown 2006 Ford Explorer, driven by Jennifer R. Jones,39, of Ponderay, Idaho, was southbound on US95 at milepost 509 when she drove left of center and struck a white 2008 Dodge Caravan, driven by Dale L. Olsen, 82, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, head on. Mr. Olsen and his passenger, Dorothy N. Olsen, 78, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, were wearing their seatbelts during the crash and were transported to Boundary Community Hospital. Ms. Jones was not wearing her seatbelt during the crash and was transported initially to Boundary Community Hospital and then transported by ground ambulance to Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene. Investigation is still ongoing.

On Friday, December 1, 2017, at approximately 8:35 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a vehicle versus train fatality crash, southbound Old Highway 91 at Blackrock Canyon Road, near Inkom.

Samuel E. Laxton, 45, of Pocatello, was in a 1992 Ford truck that was parked on the railroad tracks. A train struck the vehicle, ejecting Laxton. He succumbed to his injuries on scene. Laxton was not wearing a seat belt.

The train tracks were blocked for approximately two and a half hours.

Next of kin has been notified and the crash is still under investigation.

On December 1, 2017 at 4:20 p.m. a non-injury crash occurred on US95 at milepost 315.5. A gray 2005 Mercury Mariner SUV driven by Ian M Sullings, 22, of Orofino, ID was travelling southbound when he overcorrected while negotiating a curve. He struck the center barrier, crossed both southbound lanes, overturned and came to rest in the right hand lane. Mr. Sullings was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt. The right hand lane of US95 was blocked for just over an hour during the investigation. Both southbound lanes were blocked for approximately 10 minutes while the tow truck recovered the vehicle.

On November 25, 2017 at approximately 5:43 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a three vehicle injury crash at the intersection of S. Indiana Ave. and Orchard Ave, in Caldwell.

Hilary A. Wennstrom, 32, of Nampa, was driving northbound on S. Indiana Avenue with two juvenile passengers in a 1992 Jeep Cherokee. Wennstrom failed to yield at the intersection and struck a 2002 Chevrolet Venture traveling eastbound on Orchard Avenue driven by Troy D. Aldous, 42, of Caldwell. Sherri E. Martin, 57, of Caldwell, was driving westbound on Orchard Avenue in a 2017 Honda CRV. Martin stopped prior to the intersection however was impacted by the vehicles after the Jeep Cherokee and Chevrolet Venture collided. The stop sign at the intersection had been knocked down by a prior crash that was being investigated by Caldwell Police Department. The intersection warning sign had not been impacted.

Wennstrom was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Martin was transported by ground ambulance to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell.

Wennstrom was not wearing a seatbelt. All other drivers and occupants were wearing seatbelts.

The intersection was blocked for approximately four hours.

On November 30, 2017, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on US 93 at milepost 55.4, in Jerome, ID.

Ismael C. Marez, 52, of Kimberly, ID was attempting to make a left-hand turn from the southbound turn lane in a 2000 Ford F150 pickup. Stephanie N. Morris, 28, of Jerome, ID was driving southbound in a 1995 Toyota Camry. Morris struck the rear of Marez's vehicle.

Marez was wearing a seatbelt. In Morris's vehicle were two juvenile passengers who were also wearing seatbelts. Morris was not wearing a seatbelt, and was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls.

The southbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately one hour. Idaho State Police was assisted at the scene by Jerome County Sheriff's Department.

On Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at approximately 7:11 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury crash on US20 at milepost 28, in Caldwell.

Charles Grady, 75, of Middleton, was northbound on Midland Boulevard in a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup. Grady failed to stop completely at the stop sign. Deborah Watkins, 56, of Meridian, was eastbound on US-20 in a 2008 Toyota Highlander. The Toyota struck the Ford on the driver's side. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Grady was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by ground ambulance. The road was blocked for approximately two hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Traffic is now flowing following the crash on I84. David Ramsey, age 59 of Boise, was travelling eastbound on I84 just past the Meridian Rd. onramp in a Ford Taurus when he struck a Hyundai Accent driven by Jose Herrera-Ramos, age 45 of Nampa, from behind. Herrera-Ramos's vehicle then struck a Buick LeSabre driven by a minor subject, which then struck a Chevrolet Cruze driven by Rachel McConnell, age 32, of Meridian, which then struck a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Mandy Hiraga, age 33, also of Meridian. All drivers were wearing their seat belts. Herrera-Ramos was transported to Saint Luke's Medical Center in Meridian. The right lane of traffic was blocked for approximately one and a half hours. The investigation is ongoing.

On November 28, 2017 at 5:27 PM an injury crash occurred on US12 at milepost 18.7, near Myrtle, Idaho. A red and tan 1988 Ford Ranger pickup driven by Matthew M. Diverty, 28, of Orofino was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed. As Mr. Diverty negotiated the corners at Myrtle, he lost control of his pickup, left the roadway, drove into the ditch below the westbound lane, rolled, and came to rest on Hazel Street. Mr Diverty was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the pickup. He was transported by Lifeflight to St Joseph Medical. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor. US12 was temporarily blocked for Lifeflight. The investigation continues.

On November 23, 2017, at approximately 7:13pm, the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle rollover crash on the corner of Foothill Road and N 3000 E, south of Twin Falls.

A 2011 Ford Fiesta was traveling eastbound on Foothill Road (2682 N) when the driver failed to negotiate a left turn onto N 3000 E. The vehicle traveled off the right shoulder and rolled. The driver, Alexa Brown, 18, from Twin Falls was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Both passengers, Aaron Brown, 49 and Kathy Brown, 47, both from Twin Falls, were taken by ground ambulance to St. Lukes Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls. Alexa Brown and Aaron Brown were wearing their seatbelt. Kathy Brown was not wearing a seatbelt.

N 3000 E in Twin Falls County was blocked in both directions for approximately 2 hours.
