On Friday, July 22, 2016, at 11:04 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle injury crash on southbound Interstate 15 north of the Clark Street Exit in Pocatello.

Rolando Moran, 59, of Pocatello, ID, was driving southbound on Interstate 15 in a 2011 concrete truck. Traffic in the southbound lanes was slowing when Moran collided into the back of two vehicles. The concrete truck rolled onto its side, blocking both southbound lanes of Interstate 15. It is unknown if Moran was wearing a seatbelt. Moran was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

The first vehicle impacted was a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Gloria Madera-Ruiz, 23, of Pocatello, ID. Madera-Ruiz, her passengers Cecilia Madera Ruiz, 21, of Pocatello, ID, and two juveniles were transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. All occupants were wearing seatbelts or secured in child safety seats.

The second vehicle impacted was a 2010 Mazda MZ3, driven by Cameo McIntire, 26, of Sumner, WA. McIntire was wearing a seat belt.

The southbound lanes of Interstate 15 were blocked for approximately two hours. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is currently investigating a commercial vehicle rollover crash on the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 just south of the Pocatello Creek Road interchange in Pocatello. Both southbound lanes are currently blocked. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible and use caution if traveling through the area.
