INCIDENT NARRATIVE: Nichols was Westbound on US12 near MP 29.5 when one of her four dogs jumped into her lap. Nichols lost control steering towards the guardrail. She over-corrected crossing the center line into the Eastbound lane where the vehicle left the shoulder, striking the embankment, and then rolling back into the Eastbound lane. Nichols was cited for inattentive/careless driving. The Eastbound lane was blocked for approximately 2 hours.
