Two vehicle crash near Inkom sends one to hospital

On Thursday, January 07, 2016 at approximately 5:24pm, the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle crash on interstate 15 at milepost 59, near Inkom.

Braxton Jensen, 20, of Pocatello, was driving northbound in a 1999 GMC Sierra, when he struck a deer in the roadway. As Jensen was attempting to pull over, he was struck from behind by Paul Tanner, 37, of Inkom, in a 2007 Pontiac Grand Am. Both vehicles came to rest in the median of interstate 15.

Tanner was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. Tanner was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of crash. Jensen and his passenger were both wearing seatbelts. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
