On January 16, 2016, at approximately 12:33 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a commercial vehicle crash at the intersection of 650 East and 300 South in Jerome County. Timothy Wallis, age 50, of Pocatello, was traveling eastbound on 300 South near 650 East in a 2009 Kenworth semi pulling a single tanker trailer filled with natural gas. Wallis pulled over to the right shoulder of the roadway at 650 East to look at directions. Wallis' semi was parked partially off the embankment and rolled onto its side. No natural gas leaked from the tank when Wallis' semi rolled on its side.

The roadway is currently closed from 600 East to 700 East until the semi can be recovered. Wallis was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured in the crash. The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
