On October 10, 2015, at approximately 5:47 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle crash eastbound on Interstate 84 at milepost 39.8, east of Nampa. Cisco Garcia, age 27, of Caldwell, was traveling eastbound in a 2013 Honda Civic when he rear ended a 2001 Pontiac Aztek, driven by Nathanael Ayala-Torres, age 31, of Boise. Garcia's vehicle then struck a 1996 Honda Accord, driven by Kathryn Judge, age 24, of Boise. The 2013 Honda Civic then struck the concrete jersey barrier, traveled across the eastbound lanes of travel, and came to rest on the right shoulder of the interstate.

The right lane of eastbound travel was blocked for approximately one and a half hours while crews worked to clear the scene. The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
