***Update***

On Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 6:27 a.m. the Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle injury crash on Interstate 15 mile post 46.5, just south of McCammon.

Thomas L. Ballard, 62 of Patagonia, Arizona, was driving south bound in the right lane in a 1999 Ford Pickup. Justin M. Larson, 28 of McCammon, was in the left lane attempting to pass Ballard in a 2002 Buick Regal. Larson swerved into Ballard's vehicle to avoid hitting an animal in his lane of travel. Ballard's vehicle went off the left shoulder, and roll into the median. Larson's vehicle came to a stop sideways in the road.

Richard Dixon, 74 of Pocatello, was driving southbound in a 1995 Buick Skylark when he noticed the pickup in the median, but struck the Buick Regal that was still in the lane of travel. Larson was no longer in the vehicle when this secondary crash occurred.

Everyone was wearing their seatbelts and no one was transported for injuries. Traffic was able to get through using the right shoulder.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police with the assistance from the Bannock County Sheriff's Office.
