One vehicle injruy crash on US95 in Fruitland

On Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at approximately 8:41 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle injury crash southbound on US95 at milepost 66, in Fruitland. Brandon Brown, 22 of Parma, was traveling in 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup. Brown was northbound on US95 , crossed over the center line and traveled northbound in the southbound lanes. Brown drove off the roadway, onto the shoulder and overturned.
Brown and his passenger, Darren Karau, 32 of Nampa, were both transported by ground ambulance to St. Lukes Regional Medical Center in Fruitland. Brown was then air lifted and Karau was taken by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Both occupants were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The right southbound lane of travel was blocked for approximately 2 hours for the crash. The crash is still under investigation at this time.
