On Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at approximately 12:46 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a semi crash eastbound I-84 at milepost 35, near Northside Blvd in Nampa.

Michael Willard, 52, of Newport, NC, was eastbound in a 2015 Volvo semi pulling a single trailer. The semi went off the road on the median side, down an embankment, and came to rest on the railroad tracks that run under the overpass at that location.

Both Willard and his passenger, Randy Deans, 58, of Pikeville, NC, were transported to the St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by ground ambulance. It is unknown if seatbelts were worn.

The eastbound lanes were completely blocked for 45 minutes, and partially blocked for an additional hour-and-a-half. Clean-up is ongoing. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is currently investigating a crash on I84 between the Northside Blvd., exit 35, and Franklin Blvd., exit 36, in Nampa. Traffic is currently being diverted off eastbound at Northside Blvd. as the eastbound lanes are blocked by emergency vehicles at this time.
